Hard As Diamonds, White As Snow (open for anyone)

Kira was lost in thought when Xion emerged from his room. She appeared to be in a trance; her eyes were glazed over and she was sitting completely still, like a hard white statue carved by master hands. She hardly even breathed. But when she smelled Xion's intoxicating scent on the air, she perked up. Her eyes took on lifelike qualities again as she looked in his direction, breaking her statuelike pose. She half smiled.

Good morning, Sleeping Beauty.

Her voice was taunting.

he laughed slightly and grinned." I thought Vampires didnt like the sunlight?" he asked, smirking as he did so. he cracked his knuckles, looking outside."we better leave...who knows, someone might be refurbishing this house"

Kira shrugged.

I've come to enjoy the sunlight. It only hurts my eyes sometimes, but I don't mind it. It doesn't burn my skin or anything.

She hopped to her feet and stretched out her legs. Then she tossed her long black hair back over her slender white shoulders and out of her face. She smiled dazzlingly.

Yeah, you could be right. Though I can't imagine who would want to live in a hellhole like this... Besides a vampire and a vampire hunter, of course.

Her grin turned taunting. But she turned to the window and leaned out, resting her elbows on the sill. She breathed deeply, taking in the crisp wintery air. She smelled snow; there would be another storm tonight.

he stretched out, then opened the window."lets find somewhere to eat...getting quite hungry." he smirked, jumping out of the window, landing on his feet

Kira popped her neck and then followed him down. She hit the ground running and was off towards the woods in a flash. Her thirst was rising as well and she wanted to feed soon anyway. She began to silently stalk her prey.

Xion followed her quickly and silently."so is that all a Vampire feeds on?...blood?" he asked, running aside her

Kira nodded.

I have tried to live on human food... But it never ended well. It isn't compatible with my system...

She shuddered as she ran, remembering the horrific things that had happened to her body the few times she had tried. Then, a scent caught her attention that made her mouth water. It was the smell of a mountain lion.

What is a cat that big doing this far out? ...eh... Who cares, I'm thirsty.

She crept quietly into the underbrush, doing her best to blend in with her surroundings. She hunkered down as low as she could get, eying her prey with a vicious intensity. When the cat padded close to her hiding spot, Kira leaped out at the surprised feline, hissing and landing on its back. The cat bucked and kicked and screeched, trying to get her off, but Kira held on with a stone grip until she got herself into a position where she could sink her deadly venom tipped teeth into the cat's jugular. It screamed out in protest but it eventually collapsed beneath her from loss of blood. Kira finished the job abruptly, raining the lion of all its blood and life. When it was finished, she stood up straight, smoothing down her ruffled skirt and shirt. She hadn't spilled a drop of blood, and there was not a scratch on her -- the product of years of practice.

Xion mostly ate human food, but he did have a drug addiction like craving, to which he wasnt proud of."I can eat food...but my thirst is more like an addiction...I can't just feed on any blood...only human blood" he said looking down at the lion." its much more of a curse than vampirism..." he sighed

Kira's eyes grew soft for a moment as she looked at him. the snow reflected off the ground and lit up her alabaster face and made her eyes gleam. She touched his arm softly.

I am sorry...

Xion shook his head and smiled."you dont have to be sorry...lets just find that place...' he said as he carried on."I do wonder why we have to feed...it just doesnt make any sense for us to feed, if theres nothin to gain.." he thought to himself as he sighed

Kira shook her head and continued walking. The snow crunched under her feet. As they left the small town behind, she couldn't help but think about the last time she had been in a town. She had been found out and hunted down... The had tried to kill her for what she was...

No one found out, this time... I have been more careful since then.

Xion looked at Kira."you lead the way..." he smiled as he stepped back."you sure you know the way?" he asked in a weary state of mind

Kira raised an eyebrow at him.

Of course I know the way. It will not be a short journey, but if we keep moving, it should only take us about a day to reach it.

She stopped and sniffed the air, letting her nose guide her.

Xion nodded."okay...just a day" he thought to himself as he followed Kira, but could sense that he was being followed

She stalked through the snow, like a lithe hunter stalks their prey. They were getting closer now.

When the sun was directly overhead, Kira stopped. She cocked her head to the side, listening.

Something follows us.

She hissed and leaped into a tree.

Xion followed and leapt up to." I know...since the we left..." he said as he looked down

one of the creatures from the house leapt on the ground, it was smaller and slightly lighter in colour. it sniffed the air and grunted. Xion looked at the creature with a bemused look."kira...this one is different..." he said as he jumped down and aproached it. the creature backed up, almost scared of Xion

Kira sighed, rolling her eyes, and jumped down behind the creature so it backed right into her. She felt its strange heartbeat flutter and it turned to face her, fear plain on its face. Kira smirked at it before looking up at Xion.

the Creature gulped, amd attempted to try and tell them that he wants to help them, by waving his arms about, pointing to the house and back to Xion and Kira. he then moved slightly closer."do you know what he is trying to say?"Xion asked confused about the creature. it smiled fearfully at Kira

Kira squinted and kneeled down to look the creature in the eyes. She saw nothing but fear and desperation to be understood.

I think... He's trying to say... He wants to help us get away from those others that attacked us. I think. Either that, or he's hungry.

She shrugged indifferently.

Xion nodded."so you wanna help?" he asked as the creature nodded and pointed to the house."maybe you know a way to hide our scent from them?" he creature nodded pointed at bush filled with strange leaves. he picked a few and ate them."errmm...this helps by eating them?" he asked confusingly. he looked at them closely, a thought of obviousness hit him."ofcourse...leaves of a white cross bush...they mask any kind of scent."he then took some and ate them aswell."you will come in handy" he smiled

Kira raised an eyebrow as Xion ate the leaves. She assumed the little creatue would be right. But she didn't want to eat leaves of some random plant, evn if Xion had just said the name. Her lips turned down in an unhappy grimace as she picked the leaves from the bush.

well...if it helps us not get eaten by shadow creatures...

with that thought, she shoved the leaves in her mouth and swallowed quickly.

"I used to take a bunch of these when taking a contract...sheilds your scent from virtually anythin...alhough with training, these creatures can follow the scent regardless of the leaves." he said as the creature sniffed the air, to which he frantically jumped in the air."lets hurry, there might be more of them" he said jumping into the trees. the creature cocked his head to the side and looked at kira

Kira sighed noisiliy.

Alright, alright, I'm coming, she announced to the creature. She leaped up into the same tree to follow Xion, though she didn't like the idea of following the lead of the creature.

He's one of them, gentle or not. What if he turns on us? Something isn't quite right here.

the same man from before appeared, with another who was smaller, and wore a more millitary like uniform, like that of a commander."they havent got far...their energy is still in the air...do you think the vampire knows of unborns?" the man asked."highly likely...Xion would have told her about it.."the commander replied."such a shame...Xion was our best...but now he is another failed subject...whats the news on project warpath?"the man said grinning."he will soon be tested...we have a number of vampiric and lycan slaves...plus some of our failed unborns will test his strength...Xion was to bring Kira alive for him to test on...but we have another high level vampire..."the commander replied again."this high level vampire...lord Volberg correct?...united the vampires against the lesser demon hordes...how did you manage to capture him?"the commander just laughed."although he is far superior to your average unborn...but an advanced one...like myself...it was no chalenging task"

Xion looked on."thats commander Nasso...leader of the unborn division...its starting to comeback...I was 2nd best hunter.." Xion then had a flood of memories come back to him

Kira's super finetuned hearing picked up the man talking about Xion's mission -- to bring her back to be tested on. She hissed in shock and looked at Xion with accusing eyes.

Is that what this was? A diversion so you could lure me back to your master? So I could become a test subject for one of your failed brothers?

she spat the words out like they were venomous. She felt hurt and betrayed... And rageful.
