The Green Dragon (Derek and Gin RP)

She smiled as she opened her eyes and saw the lightning in her hand. It actually made a LOT of sense to her now. She began moving her hands, forming the the energy into a ball. She kind of made a few contact juggling moves before it disappeared. "I guess that's all I can do for now huh?" She said, a little disheartened, but not depressed. She looked at YaYa her eyes almost glowing with excitement. "Thank you.....how do I train so I can do stuff like the Captain and First Mate?" She asked.

"You're a funny one." yaya laughed. "More than likely that's about the best you'll ever do." She said patting her shoulder. "The captains have trained their whole lives, you know."

"Oh no. Just you watch, one day my magic will be as good...no...better than theirs." The determination in her eyes was rather bright, almost like it was fact and not an aspiration. "Thank you. Is there anything else you need done before I have to go "rest" since the captain said there was a storm coming tonight?" She asked.

Yaya waved a hand. "Go down below deck, take a nap. Don't be usin that little bit o' magic you got." She warned. "You're untrained. tapping into too much can lead to death if you aren't wise."

"I figured as much. Until I find a trainer I don't plan on doing anything but that little ball once a day or twice if I need it in an emergency." She answered earnestly.

"Atta girl." Yaya nodded, satisfied. "Now. Come on down to the galley. We need to get food cookin. Men'll need a big meal before takin on a storm."

She nodded and helped YaYa cook. "So was Derek mad that you gave Joey ice cream instead of cake?" She inquired, balancing buckets of food on her head, and arms, while setting up certain foods to be prepped. They made a high starch meal so they would have plenty of energy.

"No." Yaya shook her head. "He knows better than to get an attitude with me." She said confidently. "Besides, he wanted to make a point, not deprive the boy."

Ashe chuckled lightly and finished all the necessary food prep before yawning. "Is there anything else you need?" She asked, getting a cold feeling in the pit of her stomach. The rocking motion of the boat was getting gradually more noticeable.

"You're free to go nap." Yaya shook her head. "Just keep a half an ear out. If anyone calls all hands on deck, it means ALL hands."

She nodded and went below to her space and fell asleep almost instantly. She probably slept for about two or three hours before she heard people scuffling around, getting ready to go to supper. She sat up and yawned, as she also stretched. She stepped out, retying her bandana, which held her hair firmly in place. ((She dresses like Wesley from the beginning of Princess Bride, when he is the "Pirate"....but with fingerless gloves)) She went to the deck and waited to be told what to do, looking up at the dark clouds above.

Men were pulling the sails down and securing them as the winds picked up. Derek and Jin both stood near the ships wheel, both seemingly hard at work on some sort of chant. Around them the water and winds seemed much calmer than about 50 yards out.

Ashe wasn't sure she saw it at first due to the heavy winds outside of the fifty foot radius, but as it came closer she noticed another ship. "Is that normal? To see another ship?" She asked one of them men she was helping to hold one of the sails down while others tied it off. He looked out and shrugged, not really thinking anything of it.

"The oceans big, but every once in a while we're reminded it's not as big as we think." One man grunted, tying offhis ropes.

Jin said somethign to Derek, making the blond nod. He began barking orders to hail the arriving ship.

The other ship seemed to be in distress. It bore no flag, but the pole itself looked like it had been blown to smithereens. However as the Dragon came close, the other ship seemed to launch grappling hooks to the sides. Loads of men began to board the dragon. Ashe looked up in shock before being tossed down into the kitchen by one of the crew mates. She went to look for Joey.

"In." Yaya ordered, shoving Ashe into a cubby beside Joseph.

The boy seemed startled, still holding onto a potato he had been peeling.

It all happened almost instantaneously. Through the crack in the cubby doors, Ashe saw yaya be taken out by a large man wielding a club of some sort. The elderly woman haddn't stood a chance, even with her magic. Up above on deck, the sound of gunfire and howling winds raged as the ship rocked violently to the side.

Ashe growled softly, but remained still. However, these pirates were merciless and searched everything. The cubby opened and a huge man pulled them both out. Ashe reacted on pure instinct, kicking the guy once in the face, grabbing a rolling pin off the table and bashing the arm that held Joey, "Run. Go find Derek." She called to him as the man dropped him. "You brat!!" He threw her into the far wall, causing her to knock over a bunch of dishes. He seemed to have forgotten about little Joey and cornered Ashe, picking her up by the throat and dragging her up to the deck. She couldn't really do much as she was handed off to another brute and taken to the other ship.

Derek and Jin were both fighting,Derek having even mannaged to work his way onto the pirates ship.

Joseph had been grabbed and tossed into the captains quarters when one of the crew men spotted him above deck.

Ashe growled as she was man handled and handed off to a not as beefy guy. She kicked him HARD in the face and began to run, dodging and weaving through the pirates. One caught her by the arm, bruising it with the force he had grabbed her. It was the one she had hit with the rolling pin. He pulled her close and grabbed her throat once more. He lifted her up of the ground and she grabbed his thick wrist with both hands and willed her body to let the electricity flow, trying hard to concentrate on the feeling she'd had earlier. She sent a terrible shock down his arm, causing him to drop her. He roared in fury and kicked her ribs, knocking her off the deck. She grabbed the side of the boat, hanging on, as she avoided more pirates.

As soon as she climbed back on however, someone grabbed her again. This time she pulled out her stick and caught the person across the jaw. She growled and began running through, TRYING to get back to the Dragon, only to be foiled one last time as she was surrounded by pirates. She managed to take three or four out, but then was knocked unconscious.

When Ashe came to, she was in the Captains quarters of the Dragon.The ship tossed lightly every now and again, though for the mostpart remains steady. At her feet lay a large cat-- a panther of sorts it seemed,the captains two creatures sleeping onto of it. It's side rose and fell softly, curled up in a ball with it's chin on it's paws.

She sat up and rubbed her head....bad idea. She fell right back down groaning. "Mother......" She cursed into the nearest soft thing before taking a deep breath and sitting up again only to be tackled by Wyntir. She oof'd and pet the small creature. "hey dude." She said softly. She was covered in bruises, and every movement hurt, but she didn't care...she was alive....but how?

The panther by her feet stirred, placing a large paw over it's face. It never got up through.

Lynn and Ang, however, both picked up their heads, cooing curiously.

Ashe stood up and snuck silently and looked at the cat, now face to face with it. The two little ones were Jin's pets so this creature was probably not evil or bad. She stared at it imperiously, curiously. That's when she realized it was day time, she needed to help with the ship repair and dinner and such. She opened the door silently and left.

Joseph was sitting outside the door. He blinked when the door opened suddenly. "Oh,you're up!" He smiled and stood. "Is Jin up too?" He asked.

She looked at him confused, "I didn't see him...." She said. "I need to go see if YaYa is ok and if she needs help with dinner." She said. Her entire body seemed to shake from the little bits of fire that were shooting through her with every movement. "How are you?" She asked heading to the kitchen.
