How Soon Is Now?

seven smiled."I forgot...we wolves have a higher healing factor..."he laughed to himself as they aproached the gates of the camp.

the man followed slowly behind, watching their every move."I can't take on a whole army...I'll wait till they leave the camp again...maybe they will have Vahn with them" he said to himself

They continued walking in the moonlight.

Su was on edge. She could still smell the malevolent presence with them and it was making her twitchy. But she hid it well. Whatever it was, it was following them. She couldn't let on that the being was making her anxious. They needed to keep the element of surprise.

as they walked slowly, the man got inpatient."I'll just cronfront these two..." he jumped down infront of them.Seven was caught by surprise."what the?" the man stood. placing his scythe across his shoulders."I'm not here to confront you...tell me where the boy known as Vahn is...thats all."Seven got ready to get his daggers."your confronting us now."the man sighed."I dont wish to play your childish games Wolfman...I want to get this job over and done with" he replied, with alittle more anger in his voice

Sumiko kicked up dirt with her claws and sprayed it at the man with the scythe, her way of saying, pis off, loser. She made her coughing laughing noise as the wet dirt splattered the man's black cloak. She sat back on her haunches and stared him down, daring him to charge them. she'd be ready this time.

The cloaked man controlled his anger."you watch your actions dogs...I dont answer to mere militant worms...my masters are beyond your human world." he looked at Seven and grinned."and besides...Wolves are past their prime of great warriors...they are more like scattered lambs to the slaughter." Seven ran at him, daggers drawn. the man twirled around seven, and sweeped him of his feet, pressing his knee across his neck. he placed his scythe on Seven's stomach."I'll ask again...Where is Vahn?" he demanded. he didnt like to use force. unless neccassary

Sumiko ran at the cloaked man, a murderous snarl ripping from her throat. She pounced on him, knocking the scythe from his hand. She pinned him beneath her weight, snarling deafeningly, glaring with her huge emerald marblelike eyes down into the blackness that covered the face of the black sheathed man.

the cloaked man laughed."dont think I'm as easy as those soldiers you picked off" he freed his arm with some force. he smirked and struck his 2 fingers into her joint, loosening her grip, which he slipped out, almost snake like.Seven snuck up behind him, ready to strike, but the cloaked man trned around and kicked him in the stomach, seven fell to his knees, to which the man kicked him in the head once more. "I didnt think i would have to fight for my payment" he looked over at his scythe and moved quickly towards it

Sumiko yelped when the man dug his fingers into her joint. She crumbled into a heap for the moment, unable to move her leg. After a moment, it twitched and she was able to climb to her feet. Silently, she sneaked up behind the cloaked assassin as he reached for his scythe. She charged, jumping at his back and knocking him to the ground, his face resting on his own blade.

the man was shocked that she recovered quickly, even more so that she took him off guard.he smirked and let go of his scythe."it seems you have won this round."seven got back up and sighed."what is it you want of Vahn.?"the man laughed."my payment...theres a bounty on his head...anyone who brings him in alive will be reward greatly...I was offered this before the posters will be around every city and town."Seven looked at the man, especially the scythe."who are you?"he asked."me?...just call me Sameal..."he replied with a hint of frustration."lets take him back to camp...I'm pretty sure he may know more about azreal." he said, looking at Sameal

Sumiko growled. She didn't like it. She for sure didn't trust him. But if interrogating him helped in their mission, she'd have to get over it. She rolled her green eyes and got off of him. She stepped a few feet away and shook out her fur in her agitation.

Seven grabbed sameal, and tied his hands up with strange wire."lets go" Seven kicked the man, to which Sameal turned around and kicked seven in the stomach, and then the head again."tell him not to push me" he said as seven slowly got up

Sumiko sighed wolfishly. She transformed back into her human form. It was dark enough that the men couldn't see her nakedness. She slipped back into her clothes and stepped between the two of them. She was a head shorter than Seven and at least a foot shorter than the cloaked man. She placed a hand on each of their chests.

Now, boys. Look what you've made me do. Transforming in and out of my fur reallybtakes it out of me. Now I'm grumpy. Stop acting like children before I start acting like a mother. I'm rather loose with my spankings.

She eyed Seven's body, not bothering to hide the generous look she took at him. She raised an eyebrow, giving him a look that said she would put up with no nonsense, but that she was feeling a bit frisky like a dog in heat. She smiled derisively and looked back at the cloaked man, a scowl clouding her face over.

Don't suppose you've got a cigarette hiding in those cloaks anywhere, do ya?

Sameal smirked."my hands are tied...and yes I do...you can take one...left pocket on my shirt." he said his voice was filled with anger."maybe I can kill Brask while I'm here...that would add nicely ont my paycheck...ofcourse they will take me to him...I'm pretty sure he can offer me somethin big too...might milk this whole thing just for fun" he thought to himself, grining a devilish smile, Seven looked at him, knowing he was up to no good

Sumiko took a ligther our of her pocket, lighting the cig and putting it in her mouth. Noticing the evil grin on their hostage's face, she hauled off and smacked him hard across the face.

Behave yourself, ya hear me jackass? Or next time it won't be an open hand I hit you with. I don't pull my punches.

Her voice was a smoke-roughened growl. She went back to walking alongside Seven, feeling more frisky now that she had some nicotine in her system. She walked like she was queen of the world, and no one was gonna screw that up, dammit.

Sameal just laughed s they continued.Seven looked at the scythe, noticing some strange symbols across the blade."where did you get this."he asked."it was a birthday present when I was young."seven got angry."fine...just trying to make small talk."sameal sighed."it was a blessing from the old ones...not you both know who they are" he sighed again

Sumiko growled and talked around the cigarette in her mouth.

What the hell? What kind of elders give a kid a scythe for his birthday?

She turned her incredulous glare on Sameal.

Sameal gave sumiko an intimidating stare."you wouldnt understand my people's ways...we reavers are not like you wheredogs and humans...we are a proud race of warriors that live underground, and hone our abilities." he said with pride. Seven looked closely."yes...reavers...immortal savages that would rather destroy the world.."Sameal sighed."those are imperialites...you could saye they are the paradox knights of my people....your leader, Brask is of half reaver blood."Seven was surprised."but?...how?"Sameal smiled."we reavers are immortal untill we deam ourselves "finished" of this world...we are given 200 years extra on our life...to which we spend with our life partner...it is not untill our final 50 years are we allowed children." he replied."if I'm correct...he has 30 years left."Sameal looked at sumiko."we dont see it as a curse...unlike certain races" he said

Sumiko snarled at Sameal.

Cram it up your ass, hole dweller. The difference between the two of us is I am not devoting my whole...existence to destroying another race, the way you are. I am simply trying to live my life and I take out criminals like you along the way.

She gave the cigarette an angry drag and puffed out a mouthful of smoke.

he smirked devilishly."who said i was devoted...more so..paid to...if you want you can buy my services...if you can top Veral kadan's offer...or give me a good enough reason to" he replied as seven gave him a glare."you think were fools?" Sumiko took the cigarette out of her mouth and stamped it out on her bare arm. The resulting welt faded in under a minute. She got right up in Sameal's face; this was no small feat as he was so much taller than she. She glared into his shadowed eyes and growled,

She had mo qualms about killing this man.

sameal smirked."thats a good enough deal for me...but I want to speak with Brask first.." he asked looking at Seven."you really think its a good idea?.." he said looking little confused, as they entered the camp

Sumiko glared at Sameal.

yeah you can speak with him. On our terms. Seven, go get Brask. Tell him the situation. I'll keep an eye on little mister assassin here.

She took the chain that bound Sameal's wrists.

he smirked."not the first time I have wore chains...and I'm pretty sure not the last..." he said as he waited for seven's return. he looked at Sumiko."so...do you have a family?" he asked, making conversation. he then reached into his pocket and got out a cigarette and lit it up.

The hairs on the back of Su's neck stood on end when he asked about her family.

Everyone's got a family. The real question is, am I in contact with them. Which I'm not, anymore. Not since I took off on my own.

She crossed her arms and leaned back against the brick wall that surrounded the cluster of tents. She looked away from Sameal off into the distance.
