Sumiko rolled her eyes.

As if you don't know. You seem to know it all, mister, you tell me.

She smirked at him, just barely looking at him out of the corner of her eye.

he smirked back and looked up." to be honest wherewolves are a species Reaver's are forbidden to...study...Can't see why though...they share so many similarities to reavers" he retorted"so how did Brask manage to amass such a large resistance"

Sumiko's volatile anger flared up. She twirled around off the wall and slammed Sameal, back first, into the brick wall. She growled,

I am nothing like you.

Her slate eyes flashed murderously.

Sameal laughed." I beg to differ...you want to kill me right now...either because you hate me for attacking you and your freind, or trying to collect on Vahn's head...or...your threatened by me, because I see past the veil...its funny Cus I would do the exact same thing right now...and who's stopping you" he said with an air of menace."Sumiko!...let him go"Said brask sternly."thats right...let me...should a dog obey its master?

Sumiko snarled, her anger making her see red. She let got of Sameal's lapel and stepped back, only to punch him hard across the face.

Warned ya next time would be a fist. And I'm a wolf, not a mere dog, asshole.

She stepped back, glaring at Brask when he tried to stare her down.

He may be a general, but he's not my father.

She still held the chains that bound Sameal's wrists.

This trash-talking jackass wanted to talk to you, sir.

"Sumiko...he thrives on this kind of behaviour...please restrain yourself" sameal got up and smiled, Brask shot him a deadly glare."I told you not to follow me...you have some nerve showing yourself"Sameal laughed."me?...you left me for dead, and took MY daughter...because I loved someone...you have the nerve here."Brask stepped back."you know the reaver's code..it shouldnt have been broken...especially with a humans...it was not for me to decide." he said."you've got three choices...1, I join and you allow me to talk to her, and eventually tell her the truth...2. give me Vahn and I will leave as if I was never here...or 3, I tell her right now, the truth.." Brask was shocked and looked away

Sumiko's dark eyes darted back and forth. When Brask looked away, Sumiko snarled wolfishly.

What are you doing, letting him give the ultimatums? He's the one with his hands bound, not you.

She glared at Sameal.

His daughter...?

Sameal looked at the bounds, to which they lit up in flames."I've played this game long enough...whats her name?" he asked as brask looked down."s-serenity...she is our healer..."Sameal looked at Brask."for a former elder...your pathetic" he said brask rushed forward grabbing him by the thought, wth great strength, lifting him up."Dont put me on trial...if you really cared then you would have stopped me, and we wouldnt have this problem...I'll accept your 1st offer...not for you...but because she deserves to know the truth...but I wouldnt think she will just accept you...I know I wouldnt.." he then threw him down"welcome to the damascus wings.Brask walked off furiously. Sameal looked down, almost saddened

Sumiko wasn't really sure how to react to what she had just seen. But she knew Sameal couldn't be trusted, so she glared at him. She didn't believe that he was actually sad, not really. Killers didn't feel remorse or sadness. only hatred. And pretended to feel sad as an act to gain their audience's pity.



Well, he damn sure isn't getting mine.

She huffed and turned to walk back into the tent before a thought stopped her in her tracks.

You two really aren't so different...

She looked up at the sky and growled, aggravated. Why did her gentler side have to manifest itself now? She snorted and turned back around. She walked over to Sameal and offered him a hand to halp him up off the ground.

If you're gonna be sticking around, you may wanna work on your people skills, pal.

Sameal looked back up, his face turn to anger."Help is for the weak" he got up himself and dusted off, he hid his sadness with a veil of anger, thinking that it was a sign of weakness."you should ask Brask..."who is Rain"...somethin of his past he cannot forget...and never will" he stormed off. Vahn walked pass, wearing casual clothes, with a jacket over his shirt."who's that" he asked

Sumiko shook her head, practically vibrating with anger.

Some jackass we took captive to prevent from killing Brask. And you.

She was growling, her voice hissing through her teeth.

Vahn curiously looked at Sumiko."me?...like a bounty hunter?" he asked."dad is working fast." Vahn sighed. he looked away."Sumiko...what do girls like?...I mean places to go, places to eat, stuff like that.." his face grew red."you know..just wondering thats all" he laughed nervously

Sumiko was completely taken aback by this question.

He's asking ME what girls like? Err... Uhm...

Her eyes were wide and she cleared her throat a couple times before she finally found the breath to speak.

You know, Vahn... I'm not really your typical girl. I've never been asked on a date in my life. And I'd just as soon hunt in my wolf fur than go to a restaurant.

The sad part, everything she said was true. She shook her head.

I am one sorry excuse for a female. I have no game at all.

Vahn scratched his head, and laughed nervously."I'm sorry for bothering you with stupid questions" he said as he looked out across the open field."you should get some rest...Brask has some missions for us..." he said

Sumiko barked out a startled laugh.

you're not bothering me... you just caught me by surprise is all.

she shook her head.

I'm sure the girl who you are planning on asking out will be more normal than I am. she probably likes flowers and going to nice restaurants to eat.

She grimaced subconsciously.

I'm gonna hit the hay. Err... Grass.

She walked off in the opposite direction to find a nice patch of long grass to curl up in and sleep.

Seven sat on a tree stump, looking into the night sky."Why did I stay here?...I could've gone anywhere...but I didn't..." he thought to himself, as he looked over to sameal."you and Brask go way back then?...and Serenity is you daughter?"Seven asked. Sameal nodded."he was a freind, a mentor...a brother...I broke the code "family comes after you have acheived you true meaning"...Brask told me to abandon her...I couldnt...and now here we are" he said looking down."have you met Azreal?"Sameal shook his head."no one meets Azreal...Azreal meets you...he sent his messenger boy to give me my contract."Seven nodded. Vahn sighed as he walked back to the camp, back to his own tent

Sumiko yawned hugely as she walked lithely off to an particularly nice looking patch of grass. Usually, she'd change into her wolf form to sleep, just in case she was attacked in her sleep. But she was tired tonight... She couldn't handle the rough transformation again today. So she curled up on her side in the lush green grass, under the moon's cold pale glow. She breathed deeply, the heavy summer air seeming to press down on her. She placed her hands behind her head and contemplated what Vahn had been asking her.

He couldn't have possibly been asking me on a date... Could he? I mean.. Why would he? He hardly knows me. And I don't think I'm his type, anyway. I'm too rough around the edges. I'm no guy's type, really.

She yawned again and let her eyes close as she drifted off toward the sweet release of sleep.

as the day broke in, Sameal was the only one who didnt fall asleep. he walked around looking at the various documents that were around the camp. Seven woke up and saw Sameal reading."didnt think you were the one for literature"Sameal looked at Seven and sighed."I'm not a common thug who kills for money...I'm a skilled Assassin that uses elaborate ways to finish my contract...dont deem to know the difference...but it is fairly obvious"Sameal closed the book. Brask was the main tent, looking at the map

Sumiko squeezed her eyes shut as the bright summer sun shone down on her face, making her skin gleam. She stretched, reveling in the way the grass tickled her bare arms. She laid there for a moment with her eyes closed, letting the sun warm her slowly. when she started to get too warm, she got to her feet and stretched.

Guess I should get back to camp... Make sure no one killed each other in my absence.

She jogged back toward the cluster of tents, waking up her muscles. She slowed to a brisk walk when she got close and walked right up to Seven.

Morning, punk.

She punched him on the arm lightly.

Seven smiled."morning to you too...goodnight sleep?" he asked as sameal crossed his arms."I will never be able to understand the need to sleep" he sighed. Vahn came out and stretched his arms out, yawning as he did so

Sumiko popped her neck and glared at Sameal.

Us normal beings need to recharge.

she smiled at Vahn.

Morning, Sleeping Beauty.

Sameal shrugged."yes...normal beings...Nothing special" he then walked off as Seven shook his head."why is he such an ass?"Seven then jumped down from the tree he climbed up."I'll find out what our next mission.' he smiled and quickly jogged off.Vahn smiled, covering his eyes."its the first time I've been outside in the sunlight like this...always kept inside...it feels great...but hurts my eyes a little" he laughed

Sumiko snarled as Sameal walked away. She regarded Seven's question inverbally by grinding her teeth together. She ran a hand through her hair, as was her custom when she was agitated. She smiled a bit when Vahn walked up to her, though.

Ah, I love the sun. My skin just soaks up the warmth... I can't get enough.

She spread her arms out wide, in a sort of stretch.

Sameal looked back and sighed."Maybe I should be less confrontational..oh well" Sameal summoned his scythe and started to practice. Seven watched him carefully, almost smirking. as sameal swung, Seven caught it, with his knife."you could use alittle...real life action no?"Sameal pushed him back, his scythe positioned around his waist, the blade pointing outwards. Seven smiled and spun his daggers around his hands, getting into a low fighting stance. Sameal waved his hand, motioning Seven to move first. Seven leapt, daggers ready to strike but Sameal moved out of the way is if it wasnt nothing. Vahn sighed."this is gonna be interesting" he said.

Seven dodged much of sameal's moves, being faster and more flexible, he was more graceful as he moved around. Sameal was more defensive and powerful, relying on more counter strikes, and luring the opponent in through any means. seven walked around, sameal just turned around, to which he then swung his scythe overhead. Seven quickly moved out of the way and went in for the strike. Sameal smirked, lifting the but of the scythe, hitting Seven directly in the face. he fell to the ground hodling his nose."what the hell?...that was a cheap shot!" Seven shouted, to which Sameal shrugged." firstly, you didnt stipulate any rules in this sparring match, secondly, you should have figured out that I dont leave myself open that quickly...and thirdly, do you think the paradox knights would care about cheapshots?" Sameal was very calm the whole time. Vahn rubbed his head."you could almost see that coming" he

Sumiko bit her lip to stifle a laugh as Seven got whacked in the face. It wasn't particularly funny... His reaction was just humourous. She cleared her throat and leaned back against an outbuilding.
