How Soon Is Now?

Sumiko started out trotting and then was running full speed before too long, reveling in the adrenaline rush that came from working he strong muscles. They ran through the night for awhile with no interruptions. After about an hour, Sumiko slowed her pace to a walk, taking in the beauty of the night. Her emerald eyes reflected the moonlight.

Seven looked around. he could see smoke from the distance."they must have made camp...nows our time" he said jumping off of sumiko's back. he quickly gotb out his dagger.

A low growl emananted in Sumiko's chest as she sat back on her haunches and prepared to launch herself into the enemy camp. She did so with shocking speed -- she was little more than a gigantic reddish-brown blur in the night. She crept into one tent and dismembered a man before he had even woken and had time to scream.

Saren sneaked around, climbing up the largest tent. he looked down and saw 2 guards patrolling.he took out another knife and leapt, and as he fell, he stabbed the heads of the gaurds with great force, as another woke up and sounded his whistle."so much for secrecy" said Saren

Sumiko heard the whistle and cursed to herself. She continued romping around the site, killing as many men as she could clamp her jaws around. Feral growls ripped out of her throat as the taste of blood made her go a little crazy.

Seven was surrounded by 5 soldiers. he looked around, placing his daggers in a defensive stance. one soldier went to swipe at his stomach, seven jumped of and stabbed him in the heart."anyone else?" another ran at him, seven stabbed him in the foot and then sliced the throat.

Sumiko noticed that Seven was surrounded by guards and soldiers. She crept up behind one of them and snapped their neck loudly. Another man leaped toward her and managed to get on her back. She bucked wildly, trying to get him off, but he quickly stabbed a blade deep into her back beneath her right shoulder blade. She bellowed in pain and finally managed to shake him off. The blade still sticking out of her back, she ripped out the man's intestines and heart before he had time to do anything else. A low whimper escaped through her teeth and she swayed a bit on her feet before shaking her head and moving on to attack the next round of men that came at her. The blade still stuck into her flesh.

Seven noticed sumiko in pain, instead of transforming fully, he increased his muscle mass. he quickly leapt around, stabbing and cutting the soldiers that stood in his way. he jumped on Sumiko's back and checked the wound. some of the soldiers ran while the some of the elite stayed and waited for them to attack."damn...is it as bad as it looks?" he asked

Sumiko whimpered, something she had only done once before, when she was close to dying. She exhaled in a huff and the skin around the blade shuddered, as if trying to shake off the pain. Usually in a situation like this, she would turn back to her human form and pull the blade out. Sometimes the blade came out on its own while she was changing. But this time, she was afraid it would kill her.

At least in my wolf skin, there's more meat between the blade and my heart.

Seven looked closely at the wound."just a little longer...theres only 3 left..." he said jumping down. he quickly rushed the frist gaurd, stabbing him in the chest 3 times. the 2nd guard wnet in to strike him on the head, but seven rolled out of the way, stabbing him in the ankle, and then in the head. Seven then walked slowly over the last one. the guard, frightenly came in for the strike, Seven knocked the sword out of his hand, and slit the gaurds throat. he then placed his daggers back into their sheaths. Seven walked bacj to Sumiko."this will be vry painful...I'm goin to pull it out..." he said ripping some material off the tent nearby. he jumped onto her back. he gripped the sword."ready?" he asked

Sumiko mumbled wolfishly. She braced herself for the ripping pain that came with the removal of a blade from the flesh, clenching her jaw tight so she wouldn't bellow.

Seven pulled out the sword in a split second, and quickly wrapping her body, with the tent. he reached into his pocket, pulling out a small vile."this is gonna sting, but it will numb and paralyze the wound...you won't bleed as much." he then took off the cap and slowly poured it on the rags, as it quickly soaked through

Sumiko grunted in pain as the blade was pulled from her back.

Dammit... I missed all the action because I went and got myself stabbed.

A growl rumbled in her chest; she was in a bad mood.

Seven patted her on the back."shouldnt be so reckless" he laughed as he looked up."we better go...Brask wouldnt want us dead..." he said jumping down and stretching out

Su shook her great head.

Hmph. Reckless... That's just who I am. Haven't died yet...

She stretched out her back, spreading out her toes, wincing when the movement caused her to jolt in pain. She muttered under her breath and got down on her haunches, signaling for Seven to jump on her back so they could leave.

he smiled and climbed up carefully, not wanting to hurt her even more."your lucky that the sword wasnt deeper..." he said as he laughed slightly."that was easier than usual...I hope tomorrow's mission is more of a chalenge.." he thought to himself, as he layed down on sumiko's back

Sumiko breathed deeply and grimaced again when it tweaked her wound. When Seven was on her back, she took off, running north. Stretching out the muscles around the wound made it easier for her to move and she was beginning to not feel it so much anymore.

Doesn't matter much. By morning, it'll be healed. One perk of being a werewolf.

She panted to herself, a wolfish laugh. She continued to run through the moonlight.

Seven closed his eyes, thinking of the missions they would take, wether or not they would be successful, and then a confrontation with azreal, the "lord of the paradox", seven laughed to himself."so sumiko...heard any rumours about this azreal...the paradox knight hero?" he asked smirking

She raised and lowered one furry shoulder while she rode, her way of saying, not really.

She hadn't heard much about anyone, truthfully. She'd been wandering alone for too many years.

Seven nodded."Ive heard a few things...some not so pleasant...they call him the "paradox angel"...apparently he can sprout wings from his back...he has a custom made gauntlet on his arm too...I've never heard what it does...the stories ive heard is that he can control the very chemical components of nature...he an turn a human into a bomb...must be that power ability Vahn mentioned...did Vahn tell you his ability?" Seven relaxed and laidback as they aproached the camp

Randal was in his study, working out the chamber that he was designing."Vahn...you dont know what you have done?" he thought to himself



Azreal walked in, his wings hidden."your son has become a wanted criminal...what does want to achieve?...you should have initiated him earlier...". randall slammed his fist."he is MY son!...I'll deal with him.' he shouted."I know...thats why I have sent a third party member...all he knows is to bring back Vahn...I even didnt reveal myself.." Azreal smirked."do you know if he has awakened his power?" he asked.Azreal shook his head."he was only recently appointed a power vessel...a week at most untill he can use it...now do you see why giving him that power was too risky?" Randall nodded as he looked down."what happened to the knights?...they have become the very essence we fought against 40 years ago" he thought to himself."the paradox chamber is goin accordingly...it will only take 3 weeks for it to be fully prepared"

Su nodded her great head. She remembered Vahn's story well

Seven layed back, as they aproached the camp."you sure we can trust Vahn?...I mean..for we know he could well be a spy for the paradox knights." he said with a hint of paranoia. Seven opened his one eye."did you hear that?" he asked

Sumiko shrugged. She'd gotten pretty good at deciphering whom she could and couldn't trust, and Vahn seemed trustworthy.

But who knows? I've been wrong before...

before she really had time to register that thought, she heard someone walking in the woods to their right. Her ears plastered back against her head and she snarled like a loud engine roaring to life. Her tail immediately went down to guard her rear end and her fur bristled. The scent on this being that stalked them did not hint at a friendly stranger. She bared her teeth and kept up the growling. The noise added a tense undercurrent to the already stressing situation.

the cloaked man hid in the trees, carrying a large scythe. his hood covered the top half of his face, his scarf covered the lower part."they know I'm here...best to wait it out...I'll just follow them for know.

Seven yawned."probably just a bird" he said sleepily."hows the wound?" he asked getting up

Su's fur still bristled and she still felt as if something sinister was following them but she turned her injured side so Seven could see. It was already scarring over. If not for the werewolf quick healing gene, she would have been roadkill a long time ago.
