Yes, it's really good. Reminds me of Battlestar Galactica. The manga is just as good, though a little different. Sword Art Online II is really good too.

It seems the manga is always a little different than the anime, regardless of the series lol. I'll definitely have to check it out then. And as always, I've still been watching fairy tail lol.

OMG SAME. I finally got my partner into anime and he is chomping at the bit for season 4 of AoT. Now I'm trying to think of equally action-packed, bloody/gory anime series I can appease him with until then. He is easily bored LOL.

Higurashi is great, first 2 seasons are more on the psychological horror/gore side, but the last 2 are more fan servicey.
Cannon Busters on netflix is great, has a really great early 2000's feel to it for a new anime Claymore is another pretty brutal action anime that I thought was really good Saga of Tanya the evil was FANTASTIC, all hail Loli Hitler! Made in Abyss is the cutest decent into hell you'll ever see If you want more on the horror side Another was excellent
