Different taste in anime than me for sure haha, Haruhi was a close runner up on my list, I really liked it, it was just WAY too overhyped by the time I watched it, so after hearing a lot of OMFG GREATEST ANIMU EVRAR!!!1!1 CRAZY MINDFUCK! for about two weeks it sort of fell a bit short of the hype for me ^^;

Not really a big shounen jump fan either, I tend to lean more towards seinen and shoujo anime haha.

And I'd have to say my favorite Gundam series were Gundam Wing and 0083, Mobile Fighter G-Gundam was pretty good too.

If you like K-ON and Lucky Star check out Pani Poni Dash, Azumanga Daioh and Hidamari Sketch sometime too :3

I didnt like wing :/ it was quite boring.

when it comes to anime well you have to list o.o
when it comes to manga then its shoujo, even so i read shounen to.
Drama, school life, romance ftw o.o ecchi sometimes helps sometimes not D:

i recommend these atleast o.o if you dont know many, watch many then figure out what typre you like
Vampire Knight o.o i recommend the manga instead of the anime tho
Bitter Virgin was also cool but abit brutal, only manga o.o
Elfen Lied, 2 words : "Awesome" was the 3rd anime i saw

Haha I'll check them out! I just kinda browsed the ones in my libraby's teen section briefly after school one day.

Elfin Lied has quite possibly the greatest first five minutes of an anime I've ever seen, so far Higurashi and Dokuro-chan are the only things I've seen that come close to the amount of blood in Elfin Lied

just to clarify Akira is number 1 to me because, it is 1, the best stylishly looking anime for its time( using over 2000 colours that 300 even now havent got a name, and the first to feature full facial emotion and movement on the characters) 2. it brought anime to a wider audience, over sees. and 3 when you really get into it it is full of sub theme, inner plot twists, ideals, and so fourth, that even today an anime rarely uses as many themes as Akira
