| Scorpious frowned, raising a hand to his eye, pulling it free of Rose's and to do so. his finger tips brushed over the gauze and he winced, attempting to sit up and push through the dizziness.
He swore, leaning against the head board.
The moon light shining in through the windows made his pale skin seem to glow blue, the bandage over one half of his face taking on the same gleam.

| “Careful.” Rose said, placing a trembling hand on his shoulder. She was trying to steady him, and yet the feel on his shoulder against her bare hand, the strength hidden there, actually steadied her more than she could have possibly helped him.
“You need to rest.” She said quietly, grabbing the sleeping draught on the bedside table.

| The sedative left his head fuzzy. "Rest for what?" he mumbled, the gauze on his face strapped under his chin not letting him open his mouth to annunciation.
He didn't even really think about it, moving to pull the bandage off, though stopped when her hand grabbed his. At least he seemed willing to comply with what she wanted.
It seemed to finally occur to him. "Why are you here?" he asked confused, the tingle wearing away to a throb.

| “I..” Rose started, trying to find someway to say the one thing she didn’t want to have to say.
“I wanted to make sure you were okay.” She said quietly, glancing over at Edgar wondering when he would wake up too. “You took a bad hit ya know.” She said, trying to make light of the situation.

| He took the potion from her frowning a bit. "By who, Edgar? The loaf couldn't hurt a horsefly if he tried. Has no aim whatsoever." he said taking the drink with a small gag. | |

| There was no more avoiding it now. She would have to say something. Luckily he had taken the potion without question. He wouldn’t be able to stay up much longer.
“Scorpius, this time Edgar did aim right. He got you in your eye.” She said simply, deciding that the less said was the best. He looked so confused and lost. All she wanted to do was comfort him and yet she was so worried that she didn’t know how much she could truly be of comfort. Rose couldn’t lie to him and say everything would be alright. She couldn’t be the person that just let others do her dirty work for her.

| Scorpious handed the cup off, his arms already beginning to tingle again. "That would explain the bandage..." he yawned. "You should sleep..... Watching me wont....." he tried to finish his sentence, though it came out as a mumbled blur, sleep claiming him once more, pulling him down into a dreamless slumber.
Well.... He had taken that well...
Much better than his parents would when they arrived in the morning. Poppys letter had left nothing to the imagination. In her office, in a green liquid was Scorpious' eye, blood vessels burst and useless to her knowledge.... they woudl need it to model the prosthetic though. Thanks to some magic, infection wouldnt be an issue.... Thankfully.

| Rose sighed again as he fell asleep once more. He seemed, unperturbed. Then again, that could just be the sleeping draught. She wouldn’t really know until he awoke in the morning of course. Then again, she thought gloomily, come morning his parents would be there and she would have to skiv off for a while. Rose didn’t think that things would go easier for him having her there as a blatant show to his family that he wasn’t following what they expected of him.
Sighing she got up and paced the floor silently, the moonlight giving enough luminescence that she could see by. She didn’t want to leave him alone and yet, if she stayed she may just come across the Malfoy’s whether she wanted to or not. Before she could put any serious thought into it however she heard rustling in another bed.
“Edgar?” She said quietly, not wanting to wake him if he hadn’t really woken up yet. That was another conversation she wasn’t looking forward to just yet. She needed to apologize for the curse she had sent flying his way.

| ((Oh god yes. Lol I was running out of things to say. Btw it may take me longer to reply now because my laptop is now broken so I have to use the library computers instead. Ill try to reply at least once a day though))
Rose sighed and sat down on a nearby cot. She tried to stay awake but before she knew it she was sleeping restlessly on one of the nearby hospital beds, her face still turned towards Scorpius.

| When morning came, Scorpious was woken up with a start when a sudden unexpected weight hit his chest.
"Mum?" He asked sleepily, frowning as he sat up, his mother having latched onto his chest.
A tall balding man stood in the door way next to Poppy, not looking very happy. His arms were crossed, a sleek black walking stick in his right hand. He was wearing a suit and tye, his gray eyes locked onto his son. Behind him stood an equally upset looking wizard, elderly in age with long white hair. His own gray eyes held a harshness that Draco's did not.
Draco Malfoy and Lucius both stood, equally foreboding in the door of the infirmary, most obviously father and son. Only, Lucius' eyes were not on his grandson, but rather Rose.

| Rose woke groggily, rubbing her eyes as she sat up. She had a horrible crick in her neck for the way she had slept. Rubbing her neck and groaning she finally looked around her and nearly had a heart attack. There, standing mere feet away, was Lucius and Draco Malfoy.
Only Lucius however, was watching her intently, his gray eyes boring into her as if he was trying to figure out a particularly difficult problem. Before she could open her mouth and say anything Madame Poppy came back into the infirmary.
“Please Mrs. Malfoy. Scorpius needs to rest.” She sad anxiously, wanting to tell the woman to stop throttling her son, but not daring too with both Lucius and Draco Malfoy standing at the doorway.
“Ah. Ms. Weasley you are awake. Can you fetch the Headmistress for me dear? I’m sure she had some things she would like to discuss with the Malfoy’s.”

| Scorpious rubbed his right eye to get the sleep out of it as his mother reluctently released him, though remained sitting on his bedside. "That eye doesn't hurt too does it?" she demanded of her son.
Scorpious frwned, shooting a Glare over at Poppy. "No." he said honestly looking over at Rose. Then his grandfather. And his father-father.... crap.
"Ow- mom-" Scorpious swatted his mothers hand away when she ran her hand over the gauze. though his eye didnt hurt anymore (gee wonder why) he was still bruised from the blow.
"Why wasn't he sent to the hospital from the school right away?" Draco spoke up from his dreery pose in the doorway.

| Madame Poppy looked uncomfortable for a moment, trying to find something to say to the intimidating looking man before her. It didn’t help that Malfoy senior was also there, his gray eyes haughty and controlling. Before she was forced to answer however, Headmistress McGonagall made her way into the room, her grey hair tightly pulled back into her usual bun.
“I can answer that Mr. Malfoy. We believed young Scorpius to be of sound health when I sent you the first letter. At the time I’m sure you can recall that you told me in no uncertain terms that Scorpius was not to leave the castle. When I most unfortunately had to send you the second owl, it was under the same assumption of your earlier request. As his life was not in danger, I saw no reason to go against those wishes.”
McGonagall looked at Lucius then, her steely eyes meeting his gray ones before she turned to Rose, who was in the midst of trying to decide the best way to sneak out. A slight smile graced her features before they went back to her to normal expression.

| "I would think you would be bright enough to know when to ignore a parents request, headmistress." Draco pursed his lips before walking over to his son. Scorpious frowned at his father, looking past him to his grandfather for a moment as though to ask why he was there.
"Let me see." he said lifting the gause over his sons now missing eye
Scorpious kpt his frown pasted on, sitting with his mother clinging onto his left side.
Draco frowned, making an odd noise before looking to Poppy, looking as though he had just learned for the first time what the insides of a bug looked like. "So then, what are our options?" he asked.
"Eyepatch's look cool." Scrpious said, flinching at his own voice when both his father and grandfather shot down the idea with a deadly look.

| McGonagall turned from her staring match with Lucius to look at his son before sighing.
“There are not many. Sadly, an eye patch is something you may want to consider. The eye cannot be restored so the only options that are available are cosmetic only. I recommend a glass eye of course, which allows him to blend in easily.”
She waited for their response, seeing the tear stained Astoria looking ready to start sobbing again, Lucius looking particularly murderous as if the entire thing was her fault, and Draco who appeared stricken. The only one in fact who didn’t look the world was going to end was Scorpius himself who was the one who should have been the most horrified.
“Ma’m. You forgot one option.” Rose piped up, her voice sounding small and timid. She wanted to kick herself for bringing the attention back to her, especially since she’d almost made it out the door. But when she heard McGonagall tell the Malfoy’s their options she couldn’t believe she’d left one out. If it had been any other student she might have just let it go and snuck out, but this was Scorpius’s future in question and she wanted to make sure he had all the options available.
McGonagall looked over to her again, one eyebrow raised. “Yes, Ms Weasley?”
She could’ve squeaked at the looks that the Malfoy’s were giving her as she opened her mouth to speak, but taking hold of her Gryffindor courage she spoke boldly without waver in her voice.
“Well, there’s magical eyes as well. With one he’d be able to see everything around him as it constantly swivels. The eye would be able to see through almost every deception device including invisibility cloaks, and through most lies as well.”

| "Except the fact that it is a horridly hideous looking contraption." Lucius shot the option down like a Nazi woudl shoot down a Jew. [I needed a metaphor- this is what my room mate said XD]
Scorpious frowned. "I'd be fine with an eye patch- really." he said, drawing attention away from Rose. "Besides, many distinguished men have eye patches..."
Draco frowned then sighed. "You should have just told us you had an issue with your eye in the first place.

| Rose stared at her feet, her face as red as her hair. She couldn’t believe he’d shot down the idea so quickly. It was a brilliant idea! Besides did he miss the whole “can see through anything” bit? He could easily wear an eye patch and no one would know that underneath was that eye.
“With all due respect sir.” She started, her face still burning. McGonagall turned to look at her with alarm in her eyes. She really hoped that Rose would have more sense than to challenge Lucius Malfoy.
“I think that use should be more important than simple looks. Any other option leaves him with only one eye which greatly reduces his abilities. His depth perception will be ruined and thus his spell casting will suffer because his aim will be ruined. He’s already stated that an eye patch would be just fine, and that could cover the eye for ascetic purposes.”
Before she could cause any more damage McGonagall cut her off, her voice stern. “That’s enough Ms. Weasly. You may return to your dormitory now.”

| Lucius looked at Rose with a look of disgust before his gray eyes snapped back to his grandson, strolling over. His hand caught the underside of his chin, forcing him to look up before turning his head, examining him. "Such a disappointing boy." he hissed releasing his grandson roughly.
"ow..." Scorpious muttered, rubbing his jaw with a frown- sparing a glance to Rose as Poppy ushered her out. Family conflicts among pure bloods were not something nice to see.

| ((Sounds good.))
Rose made her away from the Hospital wing fuming. Lucius Malfoy was an absolute prat! She couldn’t believe that he wouldn’t even consider her suggestion! After all, it was in the best interest of his grandson and to help him remain the great wizard that he was. She wanted to curse the infuriating old man right on the spot but she figured that the Headmistress wouldn’t like it much if Rose attacked the senior member of the Malfoy family, and she doubted that Scorpius wouldn’t be all too happy with her if she attacked his grandfather.
As she made her way to Gryfindor tower to change clothes and grab what she would need for the day she felt shame wash over her. If not for her none of this would have happened at all, she just knew it. More than that, since when had she been so violent? She was still contemplating those disturbing thoughts as she got showered and changed before making her way to the Great Hall for breakfast. If there was one thing she wasn’t looking forward to it was seeing everyone at breakfast. After all, she had been a big part of the commotion the night before.

Rose nodded to Lily as she sat down, scanning the table for Albus. He was no where in sight which was odd. Usually if they didn’t meet up in the common room he was sure to wait for her at breakfast.
“I’m fine Lily. Just tired and hungry.” She said as she reached for a piece of toast and a bottle of jam. As she spread out the strawberry gooiness she wondered where her friend could be. Did he really already leave for classes? Wasn’t he wondering what happened? Or was he mad at her for something? At the last thought she nearly snorted. Albus wasn’t the type to get angry and avoid someone. If he had been angry he would have been in the entrance to the great hall waiting to berate her.
Maybe he was sick again? But then he would’ve been in the hospital wing and Rose knew he couldn’t be there. Where was he?

| "You should only hear half the rumors flying around." Lilly frowned. "I'm surprised though, ya know? I never would have thought of Malfoy of all people to be one to put Ms. Hoity toighty in her place... Some kids said Edgar is going to be expelled for using a hexing ring when he hit him. Apparently it was enough to actually burst his eye."
"What's more- we all see the Malfoy family come in this morning... They didn't look too happy either." Another girl piped in. "I tell you one thing you never want to do, and that's mess with a family of scull suckers.... Loony- the whole lot of um."
