Hikitara looked at kira and then looked down."errrmm....just need to pay a visit to someone...family" he said as he seemd alittle emotional mentioning even the word."you dont have to come... I would like the company though...if you don't mind" he said

Kira nodded.

I understand. Of course I will accompany you.

She could feel her normal cold exterior melting a little. It had been a long time since someone wanted her to come with them just for company's sake. She fell into stride with him, not asking questions. He would tell her about the family visit and his emotional state over it if he wanted to. She'd never been one to pry, unless it was assigned to her to do so.

Hikitara looked around and back to kira." my sister and neice...thats who I'm visiting...I'm trying to...make amends with her...its going well so far." he stopped as he aproached his sister's home, he breathed in then out. and carried on walking

Kira nodded. She understood the need to make things right with family. Kira had never taken the chances she had to do so when her family was alive and he regreted it now.

he knocked the door twice and waited. the door opened quite quickly, and stood and a ten year old girl."uncle Hiki!" eh ran and hugged him tightly."hey Izu..." he smiled, ruffling her hair slightly." whos your freind?" Hikitara smiled."this is Kira...Kira this Izuni...my neice"she bowed respectfully" your uncle hiki's freind?" she asked in a slightly shy manner

Kira smiled, trying to add some warmth to her normally cold demeanor.

Hello Izuni. It is a pleasure to meet you. I am...your uncle's friend.

She glanced at Hikitara and smiled a bit.

Hikitara felt relieived and kneeled down."is your mom home?" he asked."yep...she is working."Hikitara looked at Kira."Architect...very good one at that" he said as he walked in. he entered the hall and entered the far left room, his sister sat at the desk she turned her head and then turned back."what are you doing here?" she said coldly.Hikitara sighed."Came to visit my baby sister...and my neice...you okay?" he asked as he crossed his arm."could've been better...Izuni is top of the class...who's your Freind?"Hikitara looked at kira and back."her name is Kira...this is my little sister Kairi..." he introduced them to each other.

Once again, Kira made an attempt to put some warmth into her smile.

She was being polite, but she didn't like the way Kairi was treating Hikitara. Almost like be was a nuisance. That bothered her.

Kairi got up and smiled to kira, shaking her hand."a pleasure to meet you" she then left the room, to which hikitara followed."so why are you here?...its a week early for your monthly visit" hikitara sighed again." I've finished his project..I just his code to activate it... Jacob must have left it for you.."Kairi turned around quite annoyed."your take him away, then take his equipment...and now you ask for his documents?...why should I?"Hikitara shook his head."I didnt leave to die!...he..he gave his life to...to protect you..Izuni" Kairi's face was nearly full of tears as she slapped him hard."I know you Hiki...your a coward...you will gladly let someone take their own life..wouldnt surprised me if you ordered him to." she stormed over a desk and opened it up, she took a book and threw it next to hikitara."take it...I dont want to see you again"

Kira felt awkward, like an intruder on an obviously private family matter. She ducked her head and stepped outside to give the two a moment alone to work out their argument.

Hikitara took the book and looked down depressed."sis...your all I have left...theres nothin keeping me here...other than you and Izuni...I dont want to lose you" Kairi didnt turn around."I didnt want to lose Jacob..but I did"Hikitara placed his hand on her shoulder."Jacob chose to sacrifice himself...I was gonna be the one..but he took the bomb 3 hours before we set out...he saved many more people than we would have...I dont expect you to completely change your opinion...but understand it what I'm saying.." Hikitara walked out of the room. Izuni ran to hikitara and hugged him"bye Uncle hiki...come back soon!" she said excitedlly" Hikitara nodded hugging her with a smile.

he walked out and closed the door behind him and looked at Kira."my sister's husband was our tech specialist...so was I...he was working on a experimental gear suit...he helped me develop the sunburst bomb...when we investigated that town in america...Vampires had taken everyone hostage...you must have heard about right?" he asked as he looked through the book

Kira nodded. She did remember. It had been part of the vampire wars in southern America. All the blue bloods had gotten a bit territorial of their hunting grounds... They had very nearly blown the cover for vampires everywhere.

Some vampires... Get a little too fiesty for their own good.

he nodded."the strange thing was...they weren't just looking for trouble...or acting independently...they were under command from someone...they were slightly more tactical than the usual thug vampires aswell" he said as he started to head back

Kira nodded. She knew her history.

They were created fit the sole purpose of making an army. To fight for their territory. And to take over other clans' territories as well.

hikitara nodded."goodthing we dealt with them then..." he said as he jumped ontop on the roof."when we get back...I would like to show my workshop...if thats ok...you might find some useful gadgets..you never know" he smiled

I would like that. I'm always looking for new toys and gadgets.

She smiled back and hopped up onto he next rooftop above him.

Hikitara smiled and nodded, following Kira. he jumped from rooftop to rooftop."how did you meet Ichi anyway?" he asked

Kira answered as she bounded effortlessly across the rooftops.

She looked out into the darkening sky.

"yugo...only met him once...quite the tough guy" he said as he smiled." never thought vampires would befreind wolves...from what I was taught, they were always enemies, only once they formed an alliance...dont know what it was for" he retorted

Kira laughed.

Well I certainly never intended to befriend a werewolf. We were enemies at first. But we found a ...common interest.

She decided it was best left at that.

"thats how it works sometimes...I guess" he said as they aproached the main building. he jumped down from the rooftop

Kira grinned as she noted Hikitara's tone, but said nothing. She leaped down from where she had been on the roof and followed him into the building.

Hikitara walked inside, getting out a card. he swiped it over the door and opened it up."its alittle messy" he said, as mainy components littered across the large room. somethin layed on the table, covered by a sheet. on the walls were various advanced weaponry, gear and gadgets.
