So, getting back into this in a BIG way, gonna FINALLY post my big open ended space adventure RP XD
So, here some info on a few of the races and the wide wide world I'm about to unfold here :3

Factions
--==xXx==--
While many smaller factions are scattered throughout the cosmos, I'm going to be focusing on my own, and the two largest
I'll start with the Alliance, properly called The United Intergalactic Military Peacekeeping Alliance, while generally regarded as the "Good Guys" by a good chunk of the galaxies they operate within or control, they aren't as pure as they would like people to believe.
As with any large, powerful organization, corruption is bound to work it's way into the ranks, and it's had plenty of time to climb the Alliance ladders.
The idea for the Alliance was initially proposed by the Humans, who were tired of fighting what they saw as pointless battles over every inch of space they tried to settle, the idea of an intergalactic peace-keeping organization was quite appealing to many races just venturing forth into the vast reaches of the unknown, as well as many of the self proclaimed "Enlightened Races" who readily threw in their support for the new Alliance, to celebrate the ratification of the new Alliance, a new calendar system was established, starting the first Official Galactic Colonial Year, 1344 years later, and the Alliance was the predominant military force in nearly a third of colonized space.
With vast resources and a military force to make nearly any invading force turn tail and flee at the mere mention of it, the Alliance holds an iron grip on their inner territories, and those found breaking the peace of the Alliance and the laws it set down are dealt with swiftly and efficiently.
Do to the sheer size of the Alliance however, their influence on its border worlds is quite weak, with some of them being nearly completely autonomous.
The Coalition: Formally known as The Collective Coalition of Advanced Races, they are more commonly referred to simply as the Coalition, it isn’t exactly certain when the roots for the Coalitions founding were laid down but many believe it pre-dates the Alliance.
They are generally regarded as the “Bad Guys” by most people outside of the Coalition, and unlike the Alliance, who’s primary method of expansion is trading, exploration, diplomacy and an occasional show of force when necessary, the Coalition expands it’s boundaries through conquest, eliminating anyone that stands against them that they can’t otherwise bully into submission.
Despite this, some join eagerly, whether it’s for the thrill of conquest, a chance at glory and riches, or perhaps they share the Coalitions core views of a universe united under the iron will of the Coalition, all who willingly side with the Coalition are dangerous in the extreme.
While smaller than the Alliance, the Coalition is able to hold its own against by utilizing advanced technology and a willingness to use any means necessary to obtain even greater power, a typical Coalition “Research Project” usually ends with more casualties than results.
The Council of Demons: A small mercenary organization that fights against the Coalition, and isn’t exactly on the Alliances “favorite people in the world” list.
Led by Grim Mordunaza, most citizens of the alliance consider them zealots and criminals, while those disenchanted by the way the Alliance runs things, laud them as heroes, no matter what people think of them though, their exploits are very nearly legend.
Almost 20 years ago the Council disbanded after a rather unfortunate incident on the Alliance planet Corazar, most of its members scattered and in hiding.

Races
--==xXx==--
Feel free to add your own, just talk to me about it first XD
Human: Our very own race, humans have been expanding their presence on the intergalactic front by leaps and bounds since their discovery of the warp drive and are quite plentiful across the galaxies in both the Alliance and Coalition.
As I'm sure we all know what humans look like I won't bother to explain that :3
The Human homeworld of Earth consists almost entirely of Alliance government and military buildings, with most humans living on a myriad of off-world colonies that range from settled planets to orbiting self-contained cities.
Humans also have the most diverse range of beliefs and religions and are in the top ten most technologically advanced races.
The average human lifespan has been extended to over 120 years do to advances in medical science, and can be extended almost indefinitely with bio-mechanical prosthetics and advanced nano-machines.
Nekomi: A race of humanoids that resemble small humans with cat-like ears and tails, the Nekomi have a proud warrior tradition and a surprising level of technical know-how, though not quite at the same level as humans.
While the official government of the Nekomi is a member of the Alliance, although quite a few Nekomi have become disenchanted with the way the Alliance has been run in recent years and hold themselves neutral, it's virtually unheard of for a Nekomi to join the Coalition
Almost all Nekomi worship the goddess Kalamoon
The Nekomi homeworld of KoreKore is mostly dedicated to Military and Religious centers as well as several large cities, most of the population however lives on the 6 moon colonies.
The average lifespan for Nekomi is around 400 years, although there have been cases of Nekomi living to see six or even eight hundred years in age.
Draclin: More commonly known as vampires to most, the Draclin are an enigmatic race that generally hold to themselves but can be found fighting for both factions, the Draclin government, the High Council of Drehs'Ghul, is not officially aligned with either faction.
Little is known of the Draclin's level of technological advancement but they seem to rely more on magic and physical prowess than technology.
The Draclin homeworld, Draz'Ghul Dor is a murky and sparsely inhabited world of swamps and ancient structures that is home to a few families of Draclin nobles.
Draclin are extremely long lived, some of the Council of Drehs'Ghul are said to have been around since before the formation of both the Alliance and the Coalition, this may have something to do with their almost painfully slow population growth
Trink: A short and stocky race of red haired, leathery skinned humanoids with an affinity for tinkering with machines, they rarely exceed 4 feet in height and most are as wide as they are tall.
On top of being one of the most technologically advanced races in the known galaxies, the Trink are also known for being ruthless traders, driving some of the hardest bargains around
Trink custom work, while incredibly durable, tends to be unrefined and utilitarian in nature, much like the Trink themselves
While the Trink are officially neutral there are more to be found on the Alliance side than the Coalition, but for the most part, they look out for their own and don't pick sides.
Trink, while not nearly as long lived as the Draclin, still average about 800 years of age
Fronge: The Fronge are a reptilian race that resemble huge smooth-scaled lizards that walk upright on their hind legs in a humanoid manner, most Fronge are between 5 and 6 feet tall but cases of extreme variations in size aren't entirely uncommon.
They're a very prolific race and make up the bulk of the Coalitions infantry and basic intelligence gathering network.
Highly advanced technologically, the Fronge prefer using advanced bio-mechanical suits in combat as opposed to wandering around vulnerable on the battlefield.
The Fronge homeworld of Gromius VII is a massive planet covered in swamps and lush jungles with research facilities and military proving grounds hidden amongst them, most of the residents live in a vast network of underground cities that span the entire planet.
Most Fronge in military service rarely live to see the far side of 40 years, this is offset by the fact that a single Fronge broodmother can lay up to 100,000 eggs in the course of a single year, so despite the high mortality rate, the population is in no danger of vanishing any time soon, most broodmothers live for well over 200 years
Darrin: A race that closely resembles humans only they average around 8 feet in height, with some specimens reaching nearly 20 feet tall, they have immense physical strength but generally aren't that bright, they're mostly used as Coalition grunts or raiding parties, because of their huge size and strength they can carry devastating weapons most races could only dream of handling.
While most Darrin are sided with the Coalition, there are some who have joined the Alliance, in the hopes of leaving their barbarous kin behind seeking both social and mental advancement away from the brutal tactics of the Coalition.
While also a militant race, the Darrin are a bit harder to kill than their reptilian compatriots and generally live to be around 100 years in age
Trog: Hunched, somewhat misshapen looking creatures with large ears, bulbous eyes, thin lank hair, and skin that ranges in hue from a sickly yellowish green to deep purple, they were dubbed "The Goblins of deep space" by the first humans to encounter them.
Almost all Trog fight for the Coalition, though some have formed their own independent factions, which are just as bad as the Coalition.
What they lack in common sense, manners, and basic hygiene is made up for ten fold in cunning, jealousy and mistrust, the species as a whole was actually in danger of collapse due to infighting and scheming before they were swallowed up by the Coalition and given an enemy at which to vent their hatred and mistrust, uniting them like never before.
Most often used as "Extermination Squads" sent to wipe out anything that gets in front of them all the while looting, destroying and defacing, any planet that falls victim to a Trog Swarm Ship usually isn't suited for habitation by anything but Trog once they're through with it
The Trog homeworld of Gruhk'Dhuluk is a fetid stinkhole of decay, populated with decaying urban centers and a spattering of Coalition maintained propaganda camps, the planet itself is slowly dying out do to years of the Trog leaching power from the planets core to power their cities and industries and the abhorrent amount of pollution.
It's a rare sight indeed to see a Trog with gray hair, as a Trog would blow up his head for no more reason than to create a more spectacular explosion than his neighbors, because of their inherent lack of common sense and extreme jealousy, most Trog don't live past 25 or 30
