If Xeva were to return his word, then what? Knowing her she'd dumbly challenge Icchin. Think their time here would change anything. He had to find her. But how? He would never risk the pack, if Icchin knew about that he'd slaughter them without a second's thought. Senketsu glanced back, what was that noise? He pushed the glass door and stepped in, oh, the young miss... What would he do about her? He couldn't keep her locked in his room and sheltered, that wasn't the way of the wolves. Angel had been asleep on the bed and somehow ended up on the floor.

What was she doing...? ❝Angel, get up.❞ How was he to do this? She wasn't anything like the other wolves. Prepaired. Able. Steady. Ruthless. What had the goddess been thinking?

He couldn't accept this. It wouldn't work. Angel wasn't going to survive at this rate and he didn't have time to help her adjust. ❝Are you unwell?❞ His voice sounded rough, on edge, he couldn't help it. If she was sick, or too weakened, there wasn't more he could do but consider other alternatives. The pack were training new recruits, and he had to train her. The life of a slave ended here and now for the wolf called Angel.

Angel sat up when she heard Senketsu's voice she looked at him sleepily for a bit before she got off of the floor and sat on the edge of the bed tucking her feet up under herself. When he asked if she was unwell she shook her head and gave another yawn "Just sleepy" she said softly and rubbed her eyes slowly, "I'm used to sleeping on the floor so I tend to fall off things when I'm not...on...the floor" Angel said slowly as she frowned a little trying to get herself to formulate her words correctly to make sense.

How long did he even have time? Would Angel understand where she fell in all this? What had the goddess seen in having them encounter? That he would defend the girl? Protect her from Icchin? But wouldn't it be safer for her to be away? So that Icchin's focus would solely fall on Senketsu? It made sense in his mind. But...

Senketsu glanced at her, ❝Angel, do you like being here?❞ If she wanted to escape, he could provide her that much. He would, just so that she wouldn't be dragged into his mess.

Angel tipped her head to the side when Senketsu asked if she liked being there, giving a nod of her head she gave him a small smile "I do...it's a lot nicer than the other places I have lived" she said honestly. Here is seemed that she had so much more freedom than she had ever had in her life and it felt nice knowing that she was going to get punished just for falling asleep on his bed.

Hearing her relay such honesty relieved him to no end. Senketsu managed a smile that didn't feel forced for once and nodded his head. ❝Nice, that's a first.❞ He couldn't help the genuine surprise in his voice, no one had ever tossed that description for him or the pack. For her to say that meant something. He sighed a little, ❝Rest well Angel, for tomorrow your training begins.❞
