Alexander walked into class, late, like usual. He surveyed the classroom with his sharp amber eyes, "hmm," he thought to himself, "the same old bunch of sheep I see every day." He eyed a shy looking girl in the corner of the classroom, "she looks so fucking innocent, maybe I should see if i can find some guys to rough her up a bit, that might be fun to watch."

Alexander's eyes eventually came around to rest on Brooke. He sneered, and thought to himself, "yeah I'm too good for her, still, she's got a nice rack," then he saw the guy she was talking to, "is this the new transfer student that everyone's talking about, pff, he looks like a fucking fag." He leisurely walks to his seat, tosses his bag down and throws himself in his chair.

"So, I saw you eying the new guy, what's he want eh? Does he want you to hook him up with some of your guy-friends?" Alexander sneered. "It would be so easy to get her back again," he thought to himself,"so fragile, so reliant, always looking out for a hot bod and a few kind words, what a looser." So what's this goth-fag guy like?

Cain spent most of the class in calm confusion. Noticing that Brooke seemed to clam up immediately once that guy had walked in. What had one of the girl’s called him? Alexander? It was funny to him actually, since the last dog that his father had owned had been named Alexander. Cain couldn’t help but wonder if maybe a dog would be a proper comparison for this guy. He looked the epitome of a jock. A complete jack ass and all.

However, he did notice the pained expression that crossed Brooke’s features, and it wasn’t a part of his upbringing to ignore a woman in distress. Now that sounds rather cheesy and highly over the top, but it was simply the way he was raised. You take care of those around you, especially women. If they were fighting against one another than it meant nothing, however, if a man was messing around with a girl, he felt the need to make sure that it never happened again. Call him what they would, he didn’t think it was right, and so he was going to make sure she would be okay.

After class ended he got up leisurely, slinging his bag over his shoulder, though he kept his eyes on Brooke as she practically ran out of the room. Luckily as he finally left the room, he saw where Alexander stalked to, and was able to easily find both him and subsequently Brooke. When the jock slammed her locker shut, he winced slightly at the sound, though his eyes hardened with anger.

He did find himself rather proud however, when Brooke turned the boy’s words back at him so quickly. Though he still felt the need to interrupt this little party before it got nasty.

“Ahh Brooke. There you are. Sorry to bother you if you’re busy, but I have no idea how to get to my next class, and I was wondering if you would be able to help me?”

Cain smiled lightly at Brooke, his eyes shining brightly around his blonde hair that seemed to have a life of it’s own. She still seemed to be a bit nervous, and he attributed that to the fact that Alexander was still there. He figured something must have happened between the two of them, or perhaps something was still happening. Either way, it was none of his business unless he tried something.

Looking down at his schedule, he sighed. He always hated it when his mother chose the classes he would take. His father would always choose the harder classes in math and science, and last year he had been forced to take classes in business. The only class he himself liked to take was English, mostly because of how much he loved to read himself. However, in this case he could see his mother had chosen this class, because he was now forced to take Art.

“Art.” He said simply, his earlier happiness now thoroughly dimmed.

"pff, whatever" Alexander turned on his heel and coolly walked away with his jacket slung over his shoulder. "I'll leave you two alone for now, call me sometime Brooke, we should really catch up sometime." He made sure to make his last sentence sound extra friendly, she was a sucker for that, especially from him. He couldn't help but hide a bit of a grin as he walked away. "Maybe I should go see my girlfriend, she's probably getting all antsy without me," he thought to himself.

Cain nodded, keeping his face forward so that she couldn’t see the cloud that seemed to cross his features. ‘So he was once her boyfriend.’ he thought to himself, as he contemplated what he meant to her now. From her actions he figured she probably still had feelings for him, or at the least about him.

“Do you like Art?” He asked, turning to her and trying to ease the tension that had arisen.
