Emist did as he was told, repeating her words and his promise, feeling an excitment in his chest he could hardly contain.

He was going to learn magic. He was going over seas looking for the key, and what was more he wouldnt be alone. And at the end of it all- he was going to free the Silver Dragon, and hopefully get the world running how it should be once again. Without human greed interfearing.

Yuuki sighed as the magical light began to dim and eventually vanish. She knew the spell now bound them together, and while she didn’t like being bound to a human in any way she sighed in relief. He would never hurt a dragon with his gift now, and the fact he had made a promise that would kill him if broken made her feel much safer around him.

She let go of his hand and shook out her purple hair before saying, “We should head to sleep now. Tomorrow will be a long day. Every night after we have set up camp I will teach you magic until I have taught you all I can. Good night Emist.”

It was the first time she had spoken his name, but she knew it wouldn’t be the last. The word felt right on her tongue, like it was meant to be uttered out of her lips. She sat down a bit away from the fire and leaned back into a tree. She watched the fire steadily with her purple irises, obviously waiting for him to go to sleep. She probably wouldn’t sleep that night since she didn’t require rest like he did, but she would watch over the camp. He was her charge now, and it was her responsibility to protect him until he could protect himself.

"Good night, Miss. Yuki." he said, watching her before laying down himself,close to the fire for warmth.

he watched the flames for a while until finally their dancing lulled his sapphire eyes to sleep. He lay on his side the entire night, hugging his fathers sword.

The next morning dawned bright, the sunlight trickling through the trees like fingers through a woman’s hair. She had stayed awake through the night, tending the fire, and watching over the strange human that she had found herself with.

Just before dawn she had left the campsite for an hour to bathe in the nearby stream again, letting her body relax in the cold water. She missed being in her natural form greatly since it had been almost three days since she had last been able to take it. After her quick bath she had begun to prepare breakfast, reminding herself she would have to be human for quite a bit longer if this was going to work.

“Hey, get up.” She said finally, as she cooked some eggs that she had scavenged on her way back from the stream.

Emil opened his blue eyes sleepily, sitting up a moment or two after words, rubbing the tiredness away from his eyes. "Good morning." he yawned, watching her curiously.

Yuuki didn’t respond. Instead focusing on finished the eggs before putting them on one of the copper plates that he had brought with him.

“Eat.” She said simply, cleaning up the rest of the camp. When he was done she took the plate from with him and cleaned it off with a rag before stowing it away. Once she was completely done, it looked like no one had camped their over night at all. With a snap of her fingers she donned her disguise.

“Well. Lets go. We have a long way to go. The harbor is about 2 miles from here. If we hurry we should be there and on a boat by night fall.”

"Yes ma;am." Emist responded, picking up his ruck sack and sword.

They walked for a few moment in silence before he spoke up. "How did you do that? With the who..." he gestured to her disguise.

Yuuki looked at what he was gesturing at. Her women’s traveling garb being very different from what she normally wore.

“Simple glamour. The eye sees what it wants to see. All the spell caster must do is adjust that reality and you can make someone see whatever you like.”

She snapped her fingers again, returning to her normal garb and then back again.

“A rather simple spell once you wrap your head around it. Requires quite a bit of imagination however.”

"So, you just have to imagine what you want to be wearing?" he asked blinking. It sounded simple enough. Still, he doubted he could do that, at least yet.... it seemed to him simple things would be making fire, or moving water.... Perhaps he had his mind all confused by what standards magic was used?

Emist was curious though, and did not question her. He would accept her word as the entire truth. If she said it was simple, well then- it must have been.

As they walked Yuuki did something she never thought she ever would to anyone, let alone a human. She began to explain the basics and rules behind magic and the use of the art. Explaining the four elements of Earth, Air, Water, and Fire, and finally how it was the caster’s inner Spirit, the fifth and final element that allowed you to use magic at all. How all spells were based on those five elements no matter what the spell was.

By the time they had reached the seaside city where they would soon depart for the western lands, she had started to explain some of the limitations of magic and how each spell used would deplete your natural spirit energy. Should you ever try and cast something too difficult, the spell would deplete all of your spiritual energy and you would die.

“That’s it for the lesson today. We’ve made it to town. Now what do we do?” She asked him, her disguise back in place, her hood pulled up over her hair, casting her face in shadow.

"Well, first we should get anything we might need for the western continent... Sleeping rolls, bottles for water, that sort of thing." Emist said. He frowned. "Since I dont have nearly enough gold though, I'll need to see if I can do any favors for people.... Run errans and what not and maybe ear something."

By now he was mostly speaking to himself.

Yuuki sighed, realizing once again that this kid was going to really drag on her at times.

“Forget errands. Show me where it is. I’ll get it.” She said simply, sounding creepy coming from underneath the hood.

The blond boy looked to Yuki and blinked before looking around. "Um... Well, We have to find a shop with all the supplies we need first..." he pointed out, taking the lead now as they entered the marketplace.

The port city was rather busy and shockingly clean. Humans ran around like ants, all doing their own business, loading unloading, selling and buing, trading or even stealing.
