Because I'm bored lol.

Mine's going towards the essentials (well according to Largo anyway), computer parts and booze! Yay! v^^v

to waste. Meaning clothes, games, or books

I'm saving up for a place to live. I'm tired of living at home. ><

Awww I love living at home lol, having my own place would be nice without the bills haha, I'm terrible on electricity lol

Hmmm....Well partying this weekend, I guess thats where it's all going to vannish without notice hehe

Well I get my scholarship check in about a week and that is going toward a laptop ^^

I think I'm gonna be the only person here who doesn't own a laptop lol, I do have two full tower desktops and one standard ATX desktop though ^^;

Next paycheck is going towards phone bill and paying my RO accounts =]

Haha I don't have my own computer. I always have to wait till I get to the college library to get on the internet cuz my dad doesn't like me getting on his. so dumb =P

Update: my check came in the mail today!! Yaaaaayyy!!! First I have to pay my parents back for the textbooks they bought for me, then it's off to get a laptop!! ^^

Nice, make sure to get one with a dedicated video card (IE NOT Intel Integrated graphics) that way you can upgrade down the road instead of having to buy a whole new laptop.

Here is my advice:
Just get Mac.

Mac>PC.
Has THE BEST Graphic card ever. Buwahaha.

Not to mention the fact that its a sexy beast.
Your batteries are hidden inside, and the keyboards are easy to type with and
doesn't make so much noise. Its thin and has a big hard drive.
Its easy to use although it's a little confusing compared to PC.
Not very many people uses Macs so there aren't very many viruses developed
to kill Macs whereas the PC has SHIT-LOADS of viruses.
It has a pre-installed dictionary and your keyboard has a backlight and
your screen is wide screen with LED backlit display.
The shell is aluminum and you can just get a free program called NeoOffice for your
word documents.

Compared to a PC where they sell mostly a 64-bit Vista, Mac is the BEST.
If you were to write a Word Document in your 64-bit its hard to open it with other PC's
because it automatically saves it in a format that isn't backwards compatible.
Loads of people in my class has troubles opening any data from a 64-bit Vista to a normal
Windows XP. So, yeah whatever. sure. PC is cheaper. But its easy to break, not to mention,
the programs are crap, and there are TONS of viruses made especially for PC so that consumers
would replace it and buy more.

Hence, MacBook Pro ftw.

Sure you're paying mostly for the brand name Apple.
But isn't it cheaper to just BUY ONE than BUY ONE then REPLACE ONE over and over?

And so she has SPOKEN!! Lol.

Macs arent just good for school and work. Macs actually specify in media thats why you have a shit ton of pre-installed programs like iTunes, iPhoto, Garage Band, iMovie, Photo Booth, and Preview. You must be the first person I've heard from that has ever said "Mac is only good for school, work etc." because most people that uses Mac, are either a DJ, or someone who works for Mass Media. How many clubs do you see that uses a PC to DJ with? WOW. You're HILARIOUS.

HP got a better versjon of photo booth now, preview isnt that all good o.o garbage band is useless (unless you like it) Imovie vs windows media player = WMP ftw. Itunes is also avaible for pc, i dont go to clubs and i only listen to the song i like by various dj's o.o

Go to a big "LAN" and check out who got mac and who got pc Smile

HP is crap. Graphics wise its ALL about Macs. AND you can just download (legal) free programs too that you can use for PC. Preview is good if you know how to work it. And WMP has bad quality Razz

and yeah I have like.. 3 other PC's in my house; fairly new too but nothing can compare with the beauty of Mac. It lasts a lot longer too.

Well i dunno what experience you got with HP to say its crapy, but atleast mine rocks mac socks! Pavilion dv7 <3 if i ever saw a guy playin crysis etc, on a mac i doubt id be able to not laugh Shocked

ugh macs.... Apple is was and will forever be overpriced crap in my book, a $600 PC will perform head to head with a $1200 mac, all your paying for is mac os and the goodies that come with it, nVidia actually has the best graphics card on the market right now (GTX 295) not apple (although mac books do use geforce mobile gpu's)

Apple doesn't even use proprietary hardware anymore, all macs come with intel CPU's nowadays.

If I were to get a laptop it'd probably be either a nice Asus notebook with a 2.6+ GHz C2D and a Geforce mobile graphics card for around $1600 I'd have to pay at least 2 grand for a comparable mac book.

(I still use XP btw <3 64 and 32 bit versions along with 32 bit Red Hat Linux)

And Winamp > All other media players I've used for music

That DV7 looks like a beast too Core 2 Quad mobile is the most powerful mobile CPU on the market right now.

And as for HP being crap, I wasn't to impressed with a few of the old HP desktops I've gotten my hands on over the years but these were all cheap models so meh, I'll always just build my own computer anyway lol
