| My name is Kirari. i attend an all-girls middle school in tokyo, japan. ive been living here for over a year now, and im still known as the new girl, if im reconized at all. Im a pretty quiet girl, so nobody really relizes if im there or not. I still have zero friends other than my cat, misa. I dont mind being alone, my parents work over seas. So ive become used to doing things on my own. today is the start of autum, so im looking for jacket to go over my school uniform. why do they make us wear skirts when its raining?! stupid perverted principle"great" I mutter while lifting up a fur covered, ripped up jacket.
"Misa!" i shout while getting up to find that cat. Poop, she got out last night. i lean on my bedroom door giving up the search for the feline. "what am i supposed to do now? its pouring rain and i dont even have a jacket or sweater!" oh well, no point in making the matter worse, ill just go with out one today and on my way home ill go buy another jacket.sounds like a plan!30 minutes laterI arrived at school 10 minutes late, and soaking from head to toe with rain water. i slogged over to the office to get my late slip and hopefully a pair of lowner clothes. "hello miss Hiruko. what can i help you..-" Mrs.Akira's voice trailed off when she took notice of my attire. "Miss Hiruko!" she dashed from behind the desk and rushed to the back room. When she emerged she mutiple towels in her peite arms. Now that i got a better look at our schools only receptionist, shes a frail women in her late 20s. she had what looked like long brown hair put into a bun that sat nicely ontop of her head. she also had a worried exspression but i think that comes and goes. "Miss Hiruko, im very disappointed that your lackey a jacket. I know fall just started but you should know by now that the rain starts quickly here." she wrapped one of the many towels around my,now see though uniform. "why are you here Miss Hiruko, other to get a pair of lowners."
"I need a late slip" i said quietly "i see, whats your excuse today Miss Hiruko?"
"I lost track of time while looking for my jacket this morning"
"yes yes, cant be helped, but this is the 3rd time this week so your punishment will be to sit in after school detention" She went and filled out my card, while i ran to the back and changed. When i came back Mrs. Akira wasnt to be seen so i went and grabed my card and slung my bag over my shoulder and headed for first period, A.K.A history. when i got there, my sensei gave me a bewilded look, which is common being me and all "Excuse me little girl, are you in the right school?" he asked me. it wasnt strange i was very short and all, but it hurt that having the same teacher for a year and he still didnt remeber i was in his class. but then again i dont remeber his name why should he remeber mine. "I'm kirari Hiruko, ive been in your class all semester" i said with a sigh He looked at his class enrollment sheet, Obviously not believing me. "Oh yes, Miss Hiruko, i see you have a chain of Absences, no wonder i dont remeber your face" i heard whispers withen the class muttering stuff like 'is she new?' or 'shes lieing, ive never seen her face'it was always the same, nobody knew or would remeber me. just because im me. "Im sorry about that sensei, but heres my late card" he frowned at it for minute but Reluctantly signed it anyway. I walked to the back of the class to my seat, nobody ever sat in the back. it was know as the emo/careless zone. i was neither, but it let me be alone and to day dream. i made my long Journey to the very back row only to find it Occupied by a very unfamiler face. he looked up at me and smirked an unforgetable smirk that sent shivers along my spine and goosebumps along arms. (i need sombody to play the guy and maybe sombody to play an enemy or somthing) | |

| His name was Dylan, Dylan Rathin. Dylan was a transfer student from a school in Great Britain that he had been attending before his father moved his entire family to Japan. New job opportunities and everything made it difficult for Dylan to argue with him about moving away, though it wasn’t exactly going to be easy. After all, it was supposed to be an entirely new country with new customs and such. Dylan wasn’t exactly worried about it. He was a military brat and had lived in so many different places that he had lost count. He could speak six different languages fluently, and Japanese happened to be one of them. In fact he had lived here once before when he was six, which is where he had learned to speak Japanese in the first place. However, that didn’t stop him from getting the normal stares and gasps from the other students as they quickly started gossiping over who he was and where he had come from. Having shocking blond hair kind of made it hard to blend into a room full of black haired, brown eyed people. It probably didn’t help that he refused to wear the uniform. The teachers had already gotten upset with him, but when he explained his uniform simply hadn’t arrived yet they let it slide. Having a dad in a top military position had its perks after all. So he sat in the back with his ripped jeans, red and black striped top, combat boots, and silver rings on his fingers. It didn’t take long for the class to grow bored of him and turn back to the teacher. Then of course something else happened that actually took Dylan by surprise. As a general rule, students in Japan were hardworking and hardly ever late, and yet in walked this girl who was very late, and yet didn’t seem to care about it at all. She looked positively… bored with the proceedings. When she came to take her seat in the back, where he happened to be, he gave her a rather large grin before saying casually, “Hey. Nice entrance.” | |

| “Dylan.” He said simply, looking the girl over with a critical eye. He was used to people being intimidated by him. After all it was the natural order of things when you wore combat boots and looked like you had no problem beating people up. However, if there was one thing that was drilled into his head it was being polite to girls, though he did sometimes push the envelope a bit. “Sure, have your seat back. Didn’t know it was yours. After all, you weren’t here to claim it.” He chuckled, standing up and taking the seat, directly next to hers. | |

| i puckered my lips in a scroff, but blopped my bag down anyway, and took my seat. it was still warm... gross! what am i thinking about ??i giggled to myself about my perverted thoughts, then went scarlet when i notice the same guy was looking right at me! i sighed and decided to actully start paying attention, i pulled my history book out and started scribbling down words and sentences off the board. i continued to get stares from about everyone, i always wondered how a girl like me, with ocean blue eyes and snow like hair could get forgoted, but it happenes and i dont predictidly like it. thats when it hit me, this is an all girls school! how is this boy here! did all of a sudden our school changed to co-ed?! i ripped a piece of paper out of my notebook and rapidly wrote down 'how can you go to an all girls school' and signed it. i passsed it to my new neighbor and awaited for a reply while watching his expression in the corner of my eye | |

| Dylan couldn’t help but snicker when he read the note. Previously he had been lazily surveying the room checking out the various girls in the room. Of course he couldn’t help but also rate them based on how pretty they were. It was just something that Dylan did in his spare time, and since he was already ages ahead of this class he had nothing else to occupy his time. Quickly he scribbled back on the note in his untidy scrawl. “I’m just special like that.” | |

| I quickly unfolded the note and read though swiftly, not wanting the teacher to catch me. I glanced to the side and saw him trying to suppress a snicker. I reread it again, and then softly wrote, 'whatever' and in a way though it at him. Sadly the movement got hold of the sensei’s eyes and he made his back here. " Miss Hiruko, your new and don’t know that I will not tolerate pieces of paper being thrown about" He rudely spat at me. I glanced up, and blushed when I saw everyone staring at me, I used my bangs as a curtain and apologized. “ You are a troublesome student, DETENTION after school.” He turned and walked back down the row to return to his teachings. I quickly looked over at Dylan and saw a grin, HE WASN’T EVEN SORRY! That he got me -a perfect student-in trouble. That brat, I stuck out my tongue out at him and looked down at my notes and saw that that paper was blank! I spent so much time passing notes I forget to pay attention! Now I’m going to get it. I glanced at the board and saw it covered in random writings I couldn’t even decode. I grabbed my pencil with new determination to complete today with no problems when…the bell rang. I dropped my pencil, and as quickly as the determination hit, failure quickly swapped over me. I sighed and looked over my shoulder to see if Dylan was still there, he wasn’t. I released another sigh, when something tapped my arm. I squealed, then heard laughter below me and looked straight into Dylan’s green eyes. Time seemed to have slipped from all grasp because it felt like eternity till I noticed my pencil in | |

| He smiled as he held out her pencil, his green eyes full of mirth. He found it infinitely funny that he flustered her so much. It was like he didn’t even have to try. Then again, when you attend an all girls school it was to be expected that the girl would be so shy around boys. Especially since Dylan was not exactly unattractive either. “Dylan! What are you doing out of your seat?” The teacher asked, looking at him sternly. “Just getting my pencil sir. I was trying to make it spin and it fell off my desk.” He smirked as he sat back down, putting his feet up on the edge of the desk. He almost laughed aloud as the professors face nearly purpled. ‘Japanese teachers are so touchy’ he chuckled to himself as the teacher started yelling about disrespect, and how he should learn some manners, special case, and blah blah blah. The only thing that really registered in his mind out of the rant was the final word of “Detention.” ‘Alright.’ he thought to himself, looking at the girl again. ‘ That was easier than I thought it would be.’[i] | |

| I gathered my book and pulled them into my bag, I reached over my desk to Dylan’s and took back my pencil “thanks” I muttered making my way up to the teachers table. “Excuse me sensei, I was wondering if I could come in at lunch to take notes on this lesson since I was having some trouble with it.” I smiled, impressed that I could say that so smoothly. “I don’t think so Miss Hiruko, because if you actually tried to pay attention maybe you would have understood but instead you goofed around with Dylan.” He packed up the rest of his materials and headed for the door. “I expect different behavior tomorrow or you will fail my midterm essay.” He walked out the door, leaving me in the classroom. Alone. I’m always alone, aren’t I? I headed for the door, hopping the next class will be better. I walked through the hallway with ease since almost everyone was already seated in class. I approached my second class and saw him in the doorway! Great there went second period | |
