To Free A Guarded Heart ~{Open, Mature}~

(Male or female here. This will be a relatively violent thread, but there will also be sex later. The focus of this thread will be your character, basically, attempting to earn their place in Ariana's heart, as well as helping her in her "job." The character should likely be persistant. If you have any questions, go ahead and ask.)

Malik gazed cooly around the bar as he watched the female with the blade. He smirked as he grinned to himself, taking a drink from the bar with him he sat across from her, "Looks like someone needs to take a chill pill." He said in a smooth almost seductive voice. He leaned back in the chair, just out of range of her sword should she decide to point it at him too. His different colored eyes gazing at her. ((Instead of red it'll be yellow))

He downed his Mini Guiness and gazed at her, waiting for her move as he casually sat there, a black tank top and black and red Tripp jeans plus combat boots. He gave her a sly smirk, but not lecherous, it was just his nature.

Ariana paused in cleaning her blade, glancing over at Malik. She didn't say anything, just leveled a glare at him, before continuing her work. Let him make his comments. She didn't care. She ordered another drink, the barmaid being a little less skittish around her now that she'd shown she apparently was protective toward them.

"Not very talkative are you? You're never going to make any friends that way." He smirked at her, a very playful, though sarcastic, aura about him. He ordered a drink from the same bar maid and grabbed her arm gently in order to hand her a tip and ask her to keep them coming. She looked at the tip and then to him. He stood up and whispered something in her ear and it caused her to giggle slightly as she nodded.

"So, where'd you get the blade?" He asked, grinning like a cat who ate the canary.

Ariana watched the byplay with the barmaid with a critical eye. Determining that the woman was not in any sort of distress, she ignored it, instead answering his question. "It belonged to the man who trained me in it's use. Why do you ask? And I don't care to make friends, people are all the same."

"It's very nicely made so I was just curious. It might have been a family heirloom by the way you're expertly caring for it. Awww and that's not very fair, I can can guarantee you I'm not the same." He said, a deceptively innocent smile crossing his features. "I could show you a different side of people, if you give me a chance." He said.

Ariana responded with a flat look. "People are all the same. No matter first appearances, they will end up betraying or hurting you. It's not worth messing with. Men are especially guilty of this. I'm not interested in whatever you might have planned."

He stood up and leaned over the table, 'How about this, if you see me do any of those things to you intentionally, then I'll gladly let you kill me." He said, a soft smirk on his lips as his eyes met hers intently. "You're not like most other people, you're different. Is it fair to also say that you wouldn't do the same thing to someone else? Or is it you feel this way because it's happened to YOU so many times? You can't judge EVERYONE based on a few." He smirked a little wider and cocked his head to the side.

Ariana's eyes flashed dangerously. "Two-thousand, six-hundred, and seventy-five. That's how many people together made my life hell for eighteen years. Fuck you." She opted to ignore him for now, going back to cleaning her sword... a bit more forcefully now.

"Oh, so you're one that's been around a while. No matter, there's always room for change, and there's always hope. You'll see sweetie." He said, winking his green eye. "I'll be seeing you around." He got up, and left the barkeep another tip and walked out the door, marking Ariana's scent so he could follow her when she left. Hunting games are fun when you know how to play.

He smirked as he walked to the back of the building and he saw something huddled in the corner whimpering. He walked toward it curiously and found a woman, battered and mostly naked. His eyes glowed slightly as his anger swelled a bit. He helped her up, calming her as he went, trying to calm his anger down as he then picked her up bridal style. He called into the bar, "You lady with the blade, need your help! Lady in trouble." He said sending her the image of how he found the lady.

Ariana was downing another drink when her mind was assaulted by the image. She growled lowly, and got up, storming outside. She stopped in front of him, leveling a rather volatile glare at him, then turned softer eyes to the woman, touching her brow. "What happened?"

She whimpered at Ariana, "I can't, he'll kill me." She said as she passed out. Malik growled as he caught a cetain scent. "Here, take her, you're a girl she'll probably trust you more." His anger was tangible now as the familiar scent dawned on him. He handed the woman off and said, "Take her to the hospital." He took off quickly and hunted the scent. "Draken!!!" He yelled growling as his eyes glowed.

A man who looked like an older version of Malik, though about twenty years older. "Oh baby brother what are you so angry for?" He smirked as his eyes glowed malisciously. The only difference was that where Malik had green and yellow eyes, Draken had Red and green. "You know damn well what. What are you doing here? Why are you attacking people." Wolf ears sprouted from Malik's head as did a tail. "Baby bro, calm down nothing you need to worry your pretty little head over. Now be a good boy and I'll throw a squeaky toy. I'll see you around."

He disappeared leaving a seething Malik....just as he had planned. Malik wen to find the woman he had found, just to check up on her.

By this time, Ariana had hurried the woman to the hospital. She had not, however, stayed to see how things went. She'd dropped her off and made sure she was being taken care of, then left. She just wanted to go home. To that end, she made her way to an area of abandoned warehouses, and opened a secret trapdoor under some rubble, dropping down into a small chamber with a blast door. Opening it with a quick fourty-digit passcode, she slipped into a rather nicely decorated, large underground bunker, arranged much like a large, nice apartment.

Upon seeing that the woman was ok, Malik walked back to his "house". It was a crummy apartment, but the land lady had given it to him for free, if he promised to fix it up. He shrugged and fell asleep on the bed, which she had given him a new one of. He fell asleep and woke up to a tapping of a crow on his window. "Go away and leave me alone Draken." The bird almost seemed to laugh at him as it flew away. He sighed and began to clean the apartment.

In a few hours he had cleaned most of the carpets and repaired all the broken wall parts, and window bits. It already looked ten times better. The next thing was to go to his classes. He was a college student at the university, trying to become a cop. He had always admired the few of them that were good and he was going to clean the stations. He was going to save the ones worth saving.

The image of the girl flashed into his heead, causing him to smile...."One day..." He muttered to himself. Today he wore a black muscle t shirt and some form fitting jeans for guys

Ariana, in the mean time, was cooking herself some food in her home. This amounted to her making sandwiches, as she was actually a horrible cook; sandwiches were about all she could manage. "Stupid food being stupid..."

Today's lesson was rather slow and boring, plus he already knew this stuff. This class was just a formality. After class, he began to search for her scent. It was always more fun finding an older trail, but with his ability...and experience, he found it with ease. He followed it to the pile of rubble. "Hey little laaaady....wanna come out for a bit?" He sat on a cinderblock and waited. He rested his face in his hand and waited.
